Question Have the Omina HD.. now what? Whats the essential downloads?

Hi all, I was just wondering if there is a list of essential things to do to my phone to make sure it is working to full capacity, and what things I should add to it to make it a better phone?

Iv read on the main site you should debrand it and update the firmware? Not really sure how to do that but im sure ill work it out from the guide..

Which firmware should i install? This new Russian one? Do i need to install any previous firmwares to get this one working?

It all sounds very complicated!

ok i'll make a short list of applications that do enhance your phone

-youtube app (get the latest) to watch youtube videos in fullscreen on your phone
-mobbler - listen to last.fm radio channels over the internet
-barcoo - scans a bar code from an item in a shop and gives you the best price over the internet
-opera mini (as alternative browser)
-quick office 6 for viewing and editing of ms office 2007 documents
-"power mp3" as alternative mp3 player

thats pretty much all.

it is wise to get your own developer certificate for the signing of some applications.

Fring: Skype app for free calls
Mobbler: Links to last.fm for music
ScummVM: Allows you to play old pc games
Shazam: Listens to any music playing and tell you the details of the song
Handy Taskman - better then standard task manager
Photoflow - better than standard picture browser
Garmin XT - navigation
S60 Internet Radio
Facebook
Quickoffice - Allows you to view and edit documents.
NDrive - Navigation
Psiloc WorldTraveler: Psiloc World Traveler - Description
SPB TV - TV on the go (need wifi)
Barcoo - Barcode scanner for prices
PowerMP3 - Better than standard MP3 player
palringo: www.palringo.com
Google Maps: m.google.com/maps
Google Latitude: m.google.com/latitude
YouTube app: m.youtube.com/app
Opera Mini: mini.opera.com

Personally I love and use Mobbler all the time, it's an amazing app - you train last.fm to build you your own radio station that learns to play tracks that are to your taste and you will like.
