Default [HS] ThumbWheel 3 - One Wheel To Rule Them All

A completely new ThumbWheel.

ThumbWheel 3 is a total rebuild and has a separate development trajectory. For this reason it seems best to start a new thread.
Big thanks to all who used ThumbWheel and commented there with suggestions and bugs. Hope you all enjoy the new version.

My original idea of a simple, uncluttered interface that could be controlled within reach of one thumb quickly turned into a monster in the previous version. For this reason I have gone back to my original concept and rebuilt the whole darn thing from scratch, this time making a modular way of adding new features without having to drop new UI elements all over the screen.

** Features **

- One wheel - many functions!
- Main wheel: has all the status indicators; battery, signal, bluetooth, messages etc.
- Config wheel: here you can change the look and behaviour as well as apply live wallpapers or reload your modified shortcuts.
- Dialer wheel: no surprises here, just a basic number dialer.
- Menu wheel: displays a menu of the wheels you have defined in the XML file.
- Up to 10 user wheels: whatever applications (tap) or urls (tap/hold) you want.

- Drag it around the screen, spin it, hide it.

** Install **

Copy file 'gadget.swf' to 'e:\'.
Copy folder 'ThumbWheel3' to 'e:\'.

*Requires n2* or HX* or other modded FW.

** Configuration **

Edit 'ThumbWheel3\wheels.xml' to define your wheels and the shortcuts you want.
Use the included file as a guide.
You can have up to 10 wheels with up to 10 application shortcuts and 10 url links.
That gives you 10x10x2=200 possible shortcuts!

Edit 'liveBG.xml' to include any live SWF backgrounds you want to use.
Just add more liveBG items as per the XML file, making sure you drop a copy of the SWF in the 'ThumbWheel3' folder.

Use whatever* images you want for shortcut icons.
*obviously not anything, JPG and PNG files expected, PNG supports transparency.
**do not remove icon png files prefixed with underscore, eg '_blank.png'.

** Usage **

Big button:

Tap to show/hide wheel, *tap/hold to take you back to the main wheel from wherever you are.*
Tap and drag the wheel around the screen.

Main wheel: (from the top, clockwise)

Menu - tap for a menu of your user defined wheels, tap/hold for the main system menu.
Battery - battery status indicator.
Clock - time and date, tap for clock app, tap/hold for calendar app.
Signal - signal strength indicator.
Connection - active connection indicator, tap for active connections app, tap/hold for profiles app.
Wifi - wifi status indicator, tap for WLAN wizard app.
Bluetooth - bluetooth status indicator, tap for BTSwitch on/off, tap/hold for system bluetooth app.
Messages - displays unread message count for last 48 hours, tap for messages app, tap/hold for complete inbox unread count (may take a few seconds).
Settings - tap for ThumbWheel settings, tap/hold for system settings app.
Dialer - tap for dialer wheel, tap/hold for contacts app.

Settings wheel:

Vibrate - tap to toggle on/off. *This only affects vibrate feedback for the ThumbWheel - not your profile vibration settings.*
Kinetic - tap to toggle on/off.
Shader - tap to toggle on/off.
Transparency - tap to toggle on/off.
3D shine - tap to toggle on/off.
Theme - tap to toggle between black glass and solid.
Size - tap to grow/shrink wheel.
LiveBG - tap to cycle through live SWF backgrounds, tap/hold to turn off liveBG. *LiveBGs must be in 'ThumbWheel3' folder and defined in liveBG.xml.*
Reload - tap to reload your 'wheels.xml' after you have made changes.
Lock - tap to prevent dragging and spinning.

(tap/hold big button to go back to main wheel)

Dialer wheel:

Tap a number, tap/hold for extra symbols.
Tap pop-up button to delete numbers one by one, tap/hold to call number.
Tap big button to hide and show wheel deletes all the numbers.

(tap/hold big button to go back to main wheel)

Menu wheel:
Tap an icon for the wheel you want to load.

(tap/hold big button to go back to main wheel)

User wheels:
Tap to launch apps, tap/hold to launch url in browser.
Tap big button to hide and show the wheel takes you back to the menu wheel.

(tap/hold big button to go back to main wheel)

** Tip 1: when you are not using the HS, hide the wheel (tap big button) this clears all the items and disconnects from device notifications (battery, signal, messages etc). May save a little battery life.
** Tip 2: for smoother rotation animation, turn all the effects off and switch to the smaller wheel.

Enjoy!

@Waspbloke: This one has so many potentials and is so clean and tidy I almost regret not using CFW with gadget.sfw on E drive

I suppose you're not finished just yet man!

Way to go, BRAVO!
