You need these:
-Firefox
-User Agent Switcher add-on
-User Agent file
Download link: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

1. Download the User Agent Switcher add-on, and istall it.
2. Import the User Agent file.
3. Go to the Tools, Default User Agent, and choose the N97 or 5800
4. Go to the store.ovi.mobi , and you can download everything to your computer!

Good guide and clear video but ..... I still get:

We're sorry
Your device is not compatible with the Ovi Store.
Please check back as new Nokia devices are being added frequently.

I've tried both N97 and 5800!

Did you restart the firefox?

I done it with FireFox 3.5.5 English version.

Use native OVI store application on the phone... it's in apps/games section and working good.

I managed to download most apps from ovi store, however, many are .dm files and won't install neither from pc or from mobile, although some of them I already installed directly from ovi, any solution?

There is a solution, but unfortunatly I made it in hungarian language:
dm to sis
But everything is on the video...

And I would prefer the Ovi Store client on the phone.

it's really easy... there is a video in youtube that teaches you how to do it... YouTube - How to convert .dm file to a .sis file , i think its this one.. you have to use a hex editor and remove some parts of the file...
