Declaration of the firmware codes for Samsung

Here is a brief description
Eg i8910XXID6 means Samsung i8910, German language, etc., April 2009, Revision 6

Declaration:
- i8910 = Phone Type
- XX = Country Code
- ID = Year/Month (Releasedate Firmware)
- 6 = Revision


Revision:
The higher the revision, the more recent is the firmware.
If there is insufficient 1-9, because there were more than 10 inspections in one month,
then the number will be replaced by a letter.

Example:
i8910XXID6 (6. Revision) it´s older than i8910XXIDA (10. Revision)

Finally I found out what that code meant. Thank you! But Shoudnt someone move this and make it sticky in the FW section? I was looking for this in there for 1 hour and couldnt find anything and now i find it in the tutorial section.

You can also add Slovenia to the XX countries.

I still don't fully understand the flashing procedure, but what confuses me is that the code under "custom version" has an additional character - I8910MOTIF3. ATM the phone is still as it was when I got it from the operator.

edit: anyway, I have taken some time now and I think I get it now - it doesn't matter $h1t. The youtube movie helped a lot. Still, if you bother to add it to the list, my operator is Mobitel, Slovenia.


Just one more question though.. So if I download the XXII1 Generic Italian version, will I get the Slovenian language? Are all the languages that are offical in the listed countries up here included in the firmware?

Nope! the italian firmware contains:

Mine is I8910JVIF6 which means only partially can be deciphered .
Omnia I8910 June 2009 revision 6 ,Sadly a little Old.

region code : seems to be secret but it provide English , Persian , French , Arabic and Urdu Language.
