Thumbs up How to: Change key functions (multimedia keys!)

Now you can change the function of the hardware buttons to enable the use of multimedia dedicated keys (or gaming keys).

You need:
1- A full hacked phone (with ROMPatcher+ installed)
2- A program called Virtual Key 1.10

Note: The 1.0 version of Virtual Key wont work! You need the 1.10 version, that can be downloaded here:
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download VirtualKey+V1[1].10.zip

Install the Virtual Key 1.10, enable all 3 ROMPatcher+ patches and open Virtual Key.

Now set "Original Key" to:
- Options
- Add
- Options
- Special key
- Menu

And "Mapped key" to:
- Options
- Multimedia key
- Forward

Click on Done, then Options and "Run in background". (You can disable the ROMPatcher+ patches now if you want).

Now when listening to music you can forward tracks using the menu key. Very pratical when you are driving or dont want to take the phone out of the pocket to change tracks.

To restore the menu key function just runs Virtual Key again, click on Options and then Exit.

Just 1 problem I found:
Virtual Key 1.10 let us change the volume up, volume down and lock key functions, but it dont detect the number that corresponds to these keys.
Anyone knows a way to identify what numbers corresponds to these keys?

A good discovery thank you. I wish we had hardware keys on the headphone for the music player.

It isn't even possible to stop the music with the button of the headphone. This is very silly.
