My phone is switched on when topping up the battery, but if 'm to charge from 0 (phone turned down itself), I leave it off while charging to 100%. Full recharge is taking ~ 2:30 on mine.

I had the same problem too. If you use custom firmware, try the following:

press *#0228# then press back then press [4] write vbatt cal data then press [1] then type 52 then press OK then reboot.

I hope this solve..

does reboot mean simply turning off the fone and then turning it on or it means holding vol up button right side top buttion and power button simaltaneously. pls clarify.

well, it works definitely,by trying the above codes I have increased my battery life upto more than 50%, but one thing if anone has any idea, when I charge my mobile from through usb, it takes almost two hours, and battery lasts almost 3 days with moderate usage, but If I charge it from regular electricity source, then it takes almost one a half hour but, lasts less than two days, any idea why it's so. what can be done in this regard.

higher voltage of charger means faster charging time. if you using original charger that is ok and baterry or firmware is fault, but if you use non original chrgr that is problem
