These ARE NOT dead pixels. Here just read this thread: Fixed White dots on recorded video?! PAge 4 has a good explanation. Firmware does NOT matter (as far as I know), you may not notice it, but I can probably guarantee that every single person on this website's i8910 has hot pixels when HD video recording, especially in low light conditions. Don't believe me? Go inside of a closet, or some place else with no light at all, and turn the flash on and record 30 seconds of HD video, then play it back on your HDTV or LCD monitor. Oh, and here's a video I made at night with the only lights being the ones coming from my hot tub. Night 720p Video Conclusion: for low light conditions, do not expect to get a good quality video. Indeed they are not dead pixels as they are always lit so they are visible all around on defective screen. This has clearly to do with implemented algorythms (software level bug) and/or CCD as GIR pointed out there. There is no cure to this unless Samsung reprogram their camera FW part implementing better compression and noise/denoise algorythms. End of story.
ps: I'm feeling lucky I don't have this issue expressed to the point I see ugly white spots all around...
