is there another way to get the messages? cant connect the phone with my pc

hi,

i have windows 7 and i just cant connect my omnia with the pc in the "pc-studio" mode. as flashdrive i can, but i need to get my hands on the messages stored on this phone. ive tried samsung kies, different versions of samsung pc studio an so on...
is there a way to copy the messages to my harddrive in the "storage mode" or maybe its calles "flashdrive mode" sorry english isnt my first language^^
i just really need to get these messages on my harddrive, its really important

edit: for example copy the folder the messages are stored in and the convert them on my pc to readable text
