I would like that too. It's quite annoying to have the browser cache in the Media Gallery.

I have found a file in Z:\Private\101F8599 (uid of Gallery)

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>

<!-- Copyright (c) 2005, Nokia. Inc. All Rights Reserved -->
<!-- MediaGallery2 backup registration file -->

<backup_registration>

<proxy_data_manager sid = "0x10202BE9" />

<public_backup>
<include_directory name = "C:\data" />
<include_directory name = "E:\" />
</public_backup>

<restore requires_reboot = "no"/>

</backup_registration>

It looks like it's reffering to the folders it's searching in, but adjusting this did not work. Probably because this is only the registration file.
I can't find anything else for Media Gallery

I had my browsercache under e:\cache.
The only solution I can think of is putting the browser cache in E:\system\cache. On the E-drive this system folder also exists and it is hidden for Media Gallery.

And it works!

I still have my cache in E root, but I hid it with attribute changing and I have no gallery or media browser problems anymore. Simple as that.

You mean you don't have any delays anymore when you open the gallery?
That would be fantastic, please share your method.

Well, I don't have annoying small media files from internet cache and various programs showing in gallery (everything is hidden - did it via PC through WiFi and hid every god damn folder that contains media files and is irrelevant for photos and videos I want to be shown), thus it speeds up loading times. Also I tend not to pack huge amounts of photos and videos so this also helps a bit. I have my preferred ~50 photos and like ~15 videos still there + daily photos etc... This way my gallery for images and videos opens in 5 seconds.

I have to mention that I'm on custom FW that has few extra features respect official FWs, that should speed up gallery along media browser and video player too.
