Out of interest, why is the replacement file needed and why is it reserved.txt instead of reserved.bin?
|

replacement file should be only named as reserved not as reserved.txt......pls remove the .txt tag and change the property of the file (reserved) to only read only.............i made this and works perfectly even though i opened device manager and also restarted the mobile,i'm getting 5mb of free space in C

Yes this works indeed if you make a file "reserved" and set it to "read only". At first I thought it didn't work. I was using ActiveFile and when setting file attributes you have to "Apply Attributes" after setting them - which I forgot to do (doh!).
Now I can play with my "Device Manager" all day long and still have an extra 5MB free

not real strange marcus becase when i had the file reserved.txt and removed the reserved.bin. when i ran device manager it put the file back called just reserved no extension not reserved.bin.. that is why it works.. go figure.

Thanks for the clarification.
By the way, it seems that HyperX has been following this thread and has created an installer file to automate the process, which you can download from here: http://hyp3rx.allroms.nl/main/ |
