There should be a clear line of sight for the phone to get a lock on the satellites.
If you're inside a building then go outside and try it again, It should get a lock within 5mins.

Make sure inbuilt GPS is enabled.

not with this phone it works fine indoors the gps is so good.. go into the gps+ app and download a 7 days worth of data. then garmin and any other gps app should get lock within 10 seconds.

i belive the reason it works with only network and not wifi is that it gets your location from the cell location to determine which area to download data for.

It makes triangluation between mobile spots that do have GPS data for your location, so yes - lghkahn is right.

Just put in your car searching for a signal, drive around, it will find it after a while, first time takes a while. (for me)

Something a little of topic here maybe, but when i'm using my GPS mobile (garmin) in other countries then my own, do i have to pay for it?

hmmm

well i searched for new connection and found packet data. Added as packet. When i fired up GPS+ it asked me to add a connection and i chose the packet. It tried to download the data saying downloading.. but nothing is happening. Message came download data could not be found.

What iam doing wrong???

Funny thing is worked fine the first day.. Now it wont pick up any signal. I drove all the home 45 min till the end and Garmin did not find a better GPS signal...

This is confusing.
