Phone Orange Customer Services up, say you dont want to leave yet ask for the phone to be put onto Pay As You Go.

When it's on PAYG you can just upgrade/move it onto one of their contracts

I called Vodaphone direct for the HTC and they matched my current deal with Orange. £35, 18 months, free phone, 1200 mins, 500 texts, 500mb Internet. Happy enough with that

According to the latest at MSE forums, Orange have now cancelled the new charges, so no one is allowed to cancel anymore.

New news FROM MSE!

"Just phoned. Proposed change in T&C will no longer be going ahead"

Orange are no longer cancelling ANY contract even if they agreed and you said you would call back to confirm.

Its true that Orange have now done a Uturn on the price increases. Anyone who has or is going to receive their PAC code in the post will still be allowed to cancel. Please see the link below.

Wow!! Unbelievable...!!

They must've lost THOUSANDS of customers to stop a major initiative like this.....but they will have lost many more that have been following the various threads regarding the debacle, after reading about the rudeness and downright LIES spouted from a lot of their CS Reps.....

I know I'll never be going back to Orange again....even if the phone I want IS exclusive to them - as was the case this time for me switching from O2 for the i8910....

I rang up last Saturday and was told i'm ok to cancel and did do, I selected yesterday as my cancel day but as off last night i could still call from my orange phone. I presume if i can ring out today then my contract hasn't been cancelled as told?

Also where do i stand legally on this issue as i have now taken another contract out and refuse to pay for two! Will it still he honoured?
