Need UK user to help downloading SmartSearch BETA

Any UK based user is kind enough to help??

Our i8910 lack of the "Smart Search" function which has been tested in a few reviews, the Smart Search enables us to search within the phone on any piece of info, from file name to SMS, or phone number, email, songs title, etc. And it can search the web too.

Samsung is now offering "Smart Search BETA" in UK website, however, it's only allow download via phone, and you have to had an UK mobile number to obtain the download link.

Is it possible to help us obtaining such useful app, dear UK user?? or after having the SMS, share with us the link address??

I'm living in Hong Kong, and since I don't have an UK number, I beg for your help...

Which firmware are you using. I thought it came with the phone, atleast it is preinstalled on the Dutch and Italian firmware.

as i said, i'm in Hong Kong, the ROM of my region do not contain Smart Search BETA. poor!!

thanks! but, it needs sign-up, however, the problem hits me again, it needs an UK phone number and WAP push.

It should really come preinstalled as GIR said .. So what firmware are you using? (Type in *#0000# to obtain)

Hi uniqlo,

I've got version 2.11.0 pre-installed with the latest firmware, but it only allows web searches for orange or windows live.

The Support - Smart search - Smart search detail - Samsung Mobile page shows options for google aswell.

So to help you out I tried signing up as well as registering my phone with samsungs website but it still only gives you the page saying "download it below" but only gives a link back the the 'whats new' and 'home' pages.

I've tried everything possible but it just looks like they made a blunder and forgot to ad the link.

BTW, it's my pleasure knowing you helpful guys, I wish I can contribute more about our lovely i8910 in the future.

You guys are lucky in UK, as it's one of the first region who start selling i8910, I got mine via import channels, which is not official HK stuff. BTW, I saw plenty of UK Orange branded i8910 in shops here.
