Thumbs down Firmware

I attempted to flash with my HD with the same version of firmware hoping to bebrand the Optus logo. It flashed ok but the logo is still on the phone.
It did however display this message,
PDA_Code_18910DXIX1\uboot\1890ODXIH1-XDX.ubootdr.img is not found or there is other problem in system.
Any ideas.

A quick search would have revealed you need to uncheck the boot option when flashing.

WARNINGS RE FLASHING FWs!

Not sure if i understand your questions correctly but a hard reset is usually recommended after a flash.
(*#7370#) Caution this will format your phone, backup your stuff first

not gonna work. DXIH1 is optus branded. if you want generic, try IL5, XXJB1 or any other release. dont know what DXJB3 will be like if/when it is available. my guess is it could be branded. i hope im wrong.

and when flashing, when your symbian flash tool says its complete, just disconnect the phone and its ready to go. soft/hard reset if you want, wont make any diff.

I updated firmware to the XXJB1 just now and its just showing a phone and comp icon seperated by a ! on the screen.
Whats going on?

It's OK
don't everybody rush to solve the problem.
Just reflashed this morning and it now works.

However is there an English option on this firmware?

I suppose the way to solve most problems is to check the forums first.

The XXJB1 firmware is OK but a bit sluggish when opening media files.

Any faster firmware anyone can suggest?

i suggest using this; Hx-v3-17

custom firmware thats incredibly quick - download the JC1 version
its also pre hacked, has fixed 24fps recording and i cant find any faults apart from contacts rotation when writing texts...
