Question Questions after upgrade firmware I8910HD

Hi,

I would like to upgrade the firmware of my Omnia I8910HD toI8910XXJB1.zip version, but I'm worried because I found some answersand would like your help.

01 - When upgrading lose all settings?

02 - If I want, I can retrieve the backup made as PC Studio software?

03 - Can I go back to the previous firmware?

04 - After updating the video call function normally?

05 - Mobile operators still unlocked?

06 - There are problems already reported for this version?

Thanks...

SW Version

[BP] I8910XXIG1

bp compile date 11 01 2009

bp compile time 16:44:45

[AP Code] I8910DXIG1

[AP CSC] I8910XS0IG1

01 - YES

02 - YES, however it is not recommended as people reported in the past, that it may mess up with the phone (phone behaving strangely). Backup of contacts and sms is recommended

03 - YES, you can flash back to previous firmwares but only using Flash tool and not official Samsung PC studio software

04 - ??? Video calls work fine no matter what firmware you have, don't understand this one

05 - Changing firmware DEBRANDS it, so it means you don't have operator specific firmware. It does not UNLOCK it though, so no, it may still be locked.

06 - Don't know about this one.

G1 is old firmware, you may try and install a newer one, for example European one with Portuguese language.

Thanks for the answers.
Which version do you recommend? I am in Brazil and I use the operator TIM.
Thanks again.

Você testou a versão i8910XXJA2 Portugal recomendada?

Atualmente uso o HX V11. Nada do que reclamar. Mas uso sempre no idioma em inglês. Não gosto do português de portugal.

Valeu.
