This is a modified version of my Custom UK JB1 firmware, adding 24fps fixed frame rate video recording. The firmware is based around the Russian JB1 firmware, customised for the UK market and containing various additional customisations, notably the 24fps modifications (provided by wireless - thanks for making these public!) cooked into the main firmware.
The following modifications were made: - Defaults to English - Supports English, French, German, Italian and Spanish languages - 38.6MB on C: - 24fps fixed frame rate video recording with 96KBit, 16KHz audio (from SE Vivaz) - No region specific applications or widgets - Left Swipe on homepage goes to Music Player (replacing Photo Contacts) - Photos, Videos and Music only look in Images, Video Clips and Sounds respectively ( on E: and F: ) - Web Cache is moved to E: to prevent extra loading on C: I have purposefully not removed any of the built in, non-regional applications so as to leave my firmware functionally equivalent to the original Samsung firmware. If you wish to try it out, feel free to download one of the links below: Custom UK JB1, 24fps Video - Hotfile Custom UK JB1, 24fps Video - Mediafire NOTE: The file is compressed with 7-Zip for faster download times. You can use WinRAR (trial) or 7-Zip (freeware) to unzip. Don't forget to leave the Boot option unticked to eliminate the possibility of your boot firmware being damaged (I note a few people have had this problem of late when flashing firmwares with the Samsung flashing tool) Last edited by mwarner; 03-15-2010 at 04:37 PM. |

Yes, of course - I tested it before I released it. I used Media Player Classic Home Cinema to play it, but it should work fine with anything that supports MPEG4.
