As some people seem to be missing the above line, heres an expansion:

AFTER FLASHING AND HOMESCREEN LOADS, WAIT FOR PNHT SILENTINSTALLER TO FINISH BEFORE PERFORMING ANY ACTIONS

i would also advise turning sim lock request off before flashing as this seems to cause problems when pnht's auto installer is running on first boot (you can re-enable sim lock after)


CHANGELOG - As i re-created this from scratch, but included all the mods from v1 & v2, i have added to/modified the v2 changelog


Flashing firmware
All firmwares will come bundled as a .exe file.
Make sure your phone is fully charged.
advise a hard reset before flashing to avoid glitches/bugs
BACK UP YOUR CONTENTS FIRST APART FROM SETTINGS
(hard reset - *#7370# on dialpad).
Open .exe file on pc.
Switch your phone off and load bootloader mode (volume up, lock key and power button together).
connect your phone to pc via usb 2.0, 'Downbload Start' will activate.
click start.

When flash has completed and homescreen has loaded, wait for pnht's silent auto installer to finalise installation. The phone will now reboot after installation has finished
The phone will ask for an internet connection twice before finalising installation - i cant stop this popping up, so just cancel it when it appears

once phone has rebooted:
Select CODEC profile
go to menu – settings – phone – application sett. - positioning – positioning methods – disable integrated GPS
if you decide to install hxpatcher, it will mess up the appearance of the device manager

swype firmware
Faenils nokia patch is enabled by default to complete installation of swype, this may conflict with one or two apps if not switched off afterwards

Ram/CPU Mods
increased memory heap size
web cache moved from c:/ to d:/ (clears on reboot)
system memory cache increased
cache system mod - system cache moved to d:/ drive (clears on reboot)
camera ram mod (when camera exits, you get the used ram back)
ui tweaked to be faster & smoother (cpu mod – decreases battery but improves general speed)
disabled background apps for more ram/better battery

System
contacts rotation disabled
Taylors hxpatcher in e:/thinkchange/c
modded finger use & basic toolbars (can be replaced – see tutorials page)
modded samsungtoobar.mif - also moved to c:/data/toolbars so can be replaced
updated code & csc files for more space on c:/ (No rofs 2, 3 or 4 – smaller file, quicker flashing procedure)
gallery folder search improved (inc dayhand keyboard hidden)
browser homepage cleared
earpiece/louspeaker increased
improved screen rotation speed (multiple versions tested)
voice recorder settings improved (audio bitrate set to 768kbs, standard set to high as default, max recording time 5hrs)
changed t-mobile setup from saying virgin mobile wap to t-mobile wap (from liamstears)
dial 0 for opera
disabled startup (first boot) queries (city, date, time)
fixed kinetic scrolling in music player
modded gadget.swf location to be on e:/ and can be replaced
c:/ & e:/ drive is formatted during flash
Faenils smartsearch now installs and runs fine
startup animation & sound can be removed/replaced as files are in e;/startup
blank shortcuts in fullpage and navigation homescreens can be changed in menu-settings-personal-home screen-shortcuts

FAQ/Tutorial

Changing flash hs (.swf)
The gadget.swf file is now on e:/ and can be swapped for any other by just replacing the file with the one you want (remove/move the BlueSpectrumHS folder as well) – you will also need to change to samsungtoolbar.mif to match the icons for the theme/homescreen


Installing Ovi Store
Change your phone id (either via .txt method or hxpatcher ) to N97 and use the supplied sis file (Modded by Fevves) - it works perfect


Oratsu & Tornado Homescreens
If you switch straight to these screens from the samsung widget screen, you will probably get a white band across the top of the screen...either disable the 'nooperatorforlivehs' patch and reload the hs, or when on samsung widget screen - change to basic first then either orange screen and you wont have to disable the patch


Dictionary
Copy the PowerDicSymbianv9 folder onto the e:/ drive...thats it!!


Toolbars
FingerUse and Basic & SamsungWidget Homescreens icons can now be changed on the fly
For the basic & fingeruse, enable c2z, no need to for the samsungwidget.mif file
C:/private\10207254\themes\271012080\270513751\271063 148\1.0\sources - To change the Basic homescreen
C:\private\10207254\themes\271012080\270513751\271 068379\1.0\sources - To change the Finger Use Homescreen
The samsungtoolbar.mif used for the SamsungWidget homescreen is now in c:/data/toolbars and currently named samsungtoolbar2.mif as its not being used - replace with any other to change the toolbar on that hs (Samsung Widget)


3 extra touch icons
install .sis file and restart phone.
this will change the appearance of the basic & finger us homescreens as it is designed for the navigation and fullpage homescreens.


Applying new kastor effects
Copy the effects folder to c:/ resource (leaving the folder name as effects).
go into menu - settings - themes - general - options - turn theme effects off and on.


Changing languages
When you change languages, not every thing changes. This isnt a bug
there are apps in z only in english: filebrowser, mymedia, rompatcher, autoinstaller,
(Conversations only has english, french, german & spanish) - there are no other language files for these i can find
folders:browsers, hacks web - custom folders, no language files for custom folder - you have to
rename manually, everything else changes with the language from what i can see
bluespectrum hs - you have to manually edit the .xml files in folder on e:/ (its all in andres thread
on DM) again, its not any issue, you just need to know what you are doing

i was thinking of adding more languages in, but this would obviously reduce the amount of c:/ space..if enough people like the fw then i will run a quick poll

I know that languages unfortunately "steal" space C, (euro language 10mb) but does not lose stability and speed to the firmware ... good job .....!!

Hi,

good rom... Fast and stable.

I've tried it only few hours because I'm Italian, I need Italian language
( at least for T9 Input ).

A good thing I've noticed : HX Patcher 4.01 works well on this rom... I've
tried up to MIN = 200 MHz, NORM = MAX = 850 MHz and Xplore says me
the correct freq
