Default Fastest and largest microsdhc available for Omnia HD?

From what I can find, officially, the highest speed rating microsd
I've found is Class 6.

And all the 16GB or 8GB Class 6 microsds I've found are all made
by companies like A-Data (Turbo Series microsdhc) and Transcend
(microsdhc)

So anyone think I should just go for a 8GB A-data or Transcend
microsdhc?

BTW, does anyone know why some people claim the
SanDisk Ultra microSDHC 8GB is "Class 8", while on various sites
it is stated in the specification as Class 6?

Because if the case is that the Ultra is Class 6, I can just go buy
a much lower priced Class 6 microSDHC like the A-data or Transcend.

hmmmm
since no one seems to have any idea,

I'll just go buy myself a A-data Turbo 16GB Class 6 microSDHC
and compare it to my very old Kingston 2GB Class 2

Heya! I have a Transcend MicroSDHC class 6 16Gb card and it's great! Was even cheaper than a class 4 Sandisk card of same size (that's the Ultra). From what I've seen, the Transcend card is the largest/fastest on the market for now. I have mine packed with music and videos. No problems so far ^^. I'm sure the A-data card is just as good

I've found in my personal use of different brands that SanDisk rates their cards very conservatively when it comes to speed. Both of the 16 GB class 6 Transcend MicroSDHC cards I own do meet class 6 specifications, but not by a huge margin - their minimum sequential writing speed in testing on my computer is around 7.5 MB / sec. I also have an older 6 GB class 4 SanDisk MicroSDHC card, and there's no reason why it couldn't have been rated class 6, or even the newest top-end class 10 speed that didn't exist when that card was manufactured - its minimum sequential write speed is around 13 MB / sec.

That said, the Transcend cards are plenty fast; it's not like HD video recorded to them is any choppier than what is recorded to the SanDisk, so the write speed of these cards isn't the bottleneck that causes the minor frame drops we get when doing 720p.

I would be interested to know if anyone has done any tests on battery drain due to a large card being installed. It does after all take some battery current even when not in use.

As Googer said there are class 10 cards at 16gb (Kingston make one among others). The largest cards are 32gb but I've only seen class 2 cards at this size.
