Very true. From what I gather .avi is a container file and not an actual encoding process such as divx or xvid. I believe that divx and xvid are the most popular encoding processes used in .avi files. However I may be wrong on both counts its just from what I gathered on my limited research into the area (which was actually about my PS3 a while back). Anyway I do not have any other .avi files at present to try out. I was wondering whether the .avi file I have with the above information should be able to play back on the i8910 without any converting. If it should then I have a problem with my phone, perhaps with my firmware as I have a few other issues I have posted in another thread.
